Alumnus David H. Berger, MD' 84 Appointed CEO of UHB

On August 18, 2020 SUNY Downstate President, Wayne J. Riley, M.D., MPH, MBA, MACP, announced the appointment of Dr. David Berger as Chief Executive Officer for University Hospital of Brooklyn. Dr. Berger, whose tenure begins on September 8, 2020, currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of University of Florida Health Central Florida. At UHB Dr. Berger "will lead UHB’s inpatient and outpatient services, accountable care organizations, community health centers, home care, and other related entities. He will also provide operational and fiscal oversight for UHB and oversee the development and implementation of hospital-wide policies and procedures that promote quality patient care and patient satisfaction."
