SUNY Downstate Announcements:
December 4th: Dr. F. Charles Brunicardi is appointed as Senior Vice President and Dean of the College of Medicine.
December 10th: The SUNY Downstate STAR program is awarded “a three-year, $450,000 grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)[that] will help train and certify health professionals in the administration of Medication-Assisted Treatment for opioid addiction once they enter practice.”
December 12th: SUNY Downstate is featured in UroToday. Jeffrey P. Weiss, M.D. Chair of Urology and his team, including College of Medicine student Danielle J. Gordon, ” reviewed treatment strategies for nocturia, with an emphasis on initial conservative behavioral modifications.”
