A Message From The Alumni Association President: Reunion Weekend

The Downstate Alumni Association Annual Reunion Weekend is almost here. For those of you that have not signed up, it is not too late.

This year’s reunion is shaping up to be the best in recent memory. It is being held at the Brooklyn Marriott right near the Brooklyn Bridge. The reunion begins with a tour of Downstate on Friday afternoon.

On Friday night there is a cocktail party that boasts a scenic view of Downtown Brooklyn. It is a great chance to reconnect, relax and enjoy the view.

On Saturday morning there is a complementary CME session that includes continental breakfast and a post-meeting luncheon. The evening begins with a cocktail party that includes a roving magician and a silent auction that will give you the opportunity to make some great buys and contribute to the funds used for scholarships and grants. The gala will follow with a great band where you can dance the night away, enjoy the food and drink and reconnect with classmates.

For those staying at the hotel, there is a complimentary breakfast to start your day on Sunday before you head home.

I am looking forward to seeing you at the reunion. For those that can’t make please consider making a donation to the Alumni Association. We are an independent non-profit, alumni run organization that funds scholarships, educational grants, research grants, and other student activities at Downstate.

Michael T. Goldstein, M.D.’74, J.D.
